Reception Class
At Sibford School our Reception children are encouraged to make discoveries through play, using their imagination and a range of carefully chosen equipment. This ensures that they are active learners who have the opportunity to experiment and understand a wide range of concepts before they start their formal education.
Outdoor learning is an integral part of the Reception programme and supports all aspects of the curriculum: for example, counting is learnt outdoors using natural resources such as leaves and acorns.
Sibford is registered for the Nursery Grant Scheme which means parents of four-year-old pupils joining our Reception Class can qualify for a specified number of free childcare sessions. These grants can be offset against fees.
The school day runs from 8.30am through until 4.00pm. Children can be dropped off anytime from 8.00am and after-school care and tea is offered until 5.45pm.
