ART TEACHER EXHIBITS AT OXFORD CASTLE
January 2012

A painting by Michael Spring, head of the Expressive Arts Faculty at Sibford School near Banbury, is part of a new exhibition opening at the O3 Gallery in Oxford.
The Art Teachers Exhibition celebrates the area’s strong tradition of artistic excellence and showcases work by 24 artists who both practice and teach art in Oxfordshire.
Michael’s exhibit is from a collection called ‘The African Series’. He says: “My recent work has focused on those glimpses of everyday life which unite us as a world population. We can all relate to the exchanges between work colleagues, friends, strangers and those we love. These are the familiar universals which, as I have travelled, remind me of how much we share, rather than the differences which divide us.”
The Art Teachers Exhibition is on show at the O3 Gallery, Oxford Castle, Oxford until 19 February 2012.
