STUDENTS SWEEP THE BOARD
August 2009

Design and Technology students at Sibford School near Banbury have swept the board at this year’s CREST awards … Creativity in Science and Technology.
Of the 99 bronze awards made to students in Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes, 47 were presented to pupils at Sibford School.
Meanwhile, 15 of the 56 silver awards also went to Sibford pupils.
Head of Design and Technology, Victor Stannard, said: “The students have produced some exceptional work this year and these awards are justly earned.”
Run by the British Science Association, the CREST Awards aim to encourage young designers and engineers and are a way of officially accrediting school project work.
Students entering the bronze category must be able to demonstrate that they have spent at least 10 hours on their project. For silver awards, the project time is increased to 40 hours.
