STUDENTS CELEBRATE CHINESE NEW YEAR

Pupils at Sibford School near Banbury got an insight into oriental culture on Monday when they joined classmates from China to celebrate the beginning of the Year of the Dragon.

The school is currently home to more than 20 Chinese pupils who decorated the school hall, shared lucky red envelopes and wished staff and pupils Kung Hei Fat Choi (happy new year). Traditional Chinese food made up the lunchtime menu … with many pupils learning the art of eating with chopsticks. Students also had the chance to try their hand at Chinese writing.
