SIBFORD CELEBRATES TOP TEN IN MEDIA
August 2008
Sibford School pupils have gained outstanding results in Media, with three students scoring some of the highest overall marks in the country.
Eighteen-year-olds Jack Neighbour and Henry Grigg both received an A grade in their Media: Communication and Production A Level … with results that place them in the elite top 10 of the 602 students who sat the exam nationwide.
Meanwhile, Lianna Pim gained a top 10 listing at AS Level. Out of 1002 candidates, the 17-year-old achieved one of the highest results overall.
Said Jerry Jarvis, managing director of exam board Edexcel: “This is a tremendous achievement and testament to the hard work students put into preparing for their exams. We send our congratulations to Jack, Henry and Lianna.
Added Sibford head Michael Goodwin: “To have three media students all gaining top 10 places is fantastic and my heartiest congratulations go to them and also to our head of media studies, Mary Memarzia.”
This is the second year in succession that Sibford has achieved outstanding results in the Media: Communication and Production exam. Last year pupils Victoria Allsopp and William Bovill also gained top 10 placings.
