ANOTHER RECORD BREAKING YEAR FOR SIBFORD PUPILS
August 2009
Students at Sibford School near Banbury have recorded their best ever GCSE results … for the second year in succession.
Figures out today show that 94.7% of pupils achieved at least five GCSEs at A* - C grade compared to 87% last year.
The school achieved a 100% pass rate with all pupils achieving at least five A* to G grades. Twenty-nine per cent of entries were A*/A and 61% were A*/A/B.
And there was good news for the girls, with all female candidates achieving five or more A* - C grades including English, Maths and at least one science.
Said head Michael Goodwin: “These are terrific results … to break school records two years in succession is a fantastic achievement,
“My congratulations go to both our students and staff who have worked so well together to secure these exceptional results.”
